We Look Beginner's Guide
 
This document is designed to help newcomers understand how to advertise with pay per click (PPC) search engines. The concepts in this guide are easy to follow and can be used for any PPC site.

Pay Per Click Search Basics
What is a "Pay-Per-Click" (PPC) search engine? Also known as a bid-for-placement or CPC search engine, Welook allows you to "buy" a position in search results seen by millions of visitors a month. To buy a position, you bid a certain number of cents per click for a keyword. The amount bid determines the rank of the advertised site. The bid price represents the cost to advertiser; it's how much the advertiser is charged each time a consumer clicks on a PPC result and visits the advertiser's site. Advertisers will commonly bid on multiple "keywords" or "keyword phrases" to increase the number of potential customers who see their results and visit their sites. The pay per click advertiser who bids the most will be listed first on the search result page.If you bid one cent per click (the minimum), you would be in position # 4, just below another advertiser in the same branche. If you bid 4 cents, you would be in position # 2, just above another advertiser. If you bid 6 cents, you would be in position #1 and receive the most traffic. The "cost to advertiser", also known as the bid price, is how much that advertiser is charged when a visitor goes to their site. Therefore, in the example above, you pay 5 cents per click to be in the # 1 position. If somebody does a search on your keywords and clicks on your search listing, your account will be debited 5 cents. When your account runs out of funds, your search listing is removed automatically and the next listing on position #2 will move up to position # 1.

The advantage of PPC online advertising is that YOU control how much you pay! To watch out over your costs Welook has advanced security measures in place. Blocking "multiple clicks" from the same visitor is one of our most fundamental click blocking technologies. If we didn't protect our online advertising customers we would not be around very long!

We have no startup fees and no monthly costs or minimum spending amounts. The only requirement is that your pay-per-click account be funded for you to receive advertising. Your account will stay active until you have used up all of your deposited funds. We work on a "debit system". Advertisers pre-pay us a certain amount they would like to spend, for example $10.00. Once that $10.00 deposit runs out, the advertising stops until more funds are deposited into the account. You will never be billed and cannot spend more than the amount you have deposited.

So, how do you get started?
 
Step 1: Think About Your Business!
What products or services do you sell? Who is your target customer? What words are your target customers most likely to use when looking for your product or service?

Example:

Let's say you own a hotel called "Beach Hotel Summersun". Your target customer is someone who wants to book a hotel or holiday at the beach. What "keyword phrases" are your customers likely to use when searching for a hotel? Take a look at this list: summersun, hotel, beach hotel, holiday at the beach, swimming at sea, holiday at sea

These are all phrases that someone might type into a search engine if they were looking for a product you sell. Select keywords like these as terms to bid upon.

Take a few minutes to write down a list of keyword phrases related to your business.

Step 2: Create an Account
If you have not done so yet, create an account on WeLook.info. You can join for free, it is easy and will take only a few minutes. To create an account, click on of the following buttons "Add Your Site" "Affliates" or "Advertisers" at the top of any We Look page. Please fill in the form and you will receive an email to confirm your account. After using this validationlink your details will be emailed to you within a few minutes.


How much does it cost to open an account? Step 3: Log Into Your Account
Now that you have created an account, you can log in to get started. Go to: http://www.welook.info and click "Account Login". Enter your username and the password that was emailed to the address you used when creating the account. Remember that the password is case-sensitive (meaning that lowercase and uppercase letters are recognized). If you have forgotten your password, you can click on "Forgot/Lost Password" to have it sent again.  

Step 4: Add Keywords
First, click on "Add Keywords". This will bring up a simple form. The first box is called "Keyword Phrases". In this box, you can enter the list of keyword phrases you created in Step 1. Hit the enter key after each keyword so that there is one keyword per line. Next, enter your "Site URL". The Site URL is the web address that someone would type in to reach your website. For example, our example URL is http://www.beachsunsethotel.com Make sure to enter the FULL URL, including the "http://" before the website address. The next box is for the "Title". In our earlier example for Beach Hotel SunSet, a title may be "Beach Hotel SunSet - Your place on the beach!" The title usually includes the name of your website and a short slogan or generic description. It must be no longer than 50 characters. (A character is any letter, number, symbol or space.) Now, enter a longer "Description" of your site. The description can be up to 190 characters long and should give the visitor a simple idea of what your site sells. For our example, a description may be "We have a nice beach, comfortable hotelrooms and an exellent roomservice. While using a false description may get you more traffic, it will not be "qualified traffic" and visitors will leave immediately. Last, you should see a box called " Bid". This is where you enter the amount you are willing to pay to have your site listed under a particular keyword phrase. The more you pay, the higher you will be listed and, typically, the more traffic you will receive. You can either leave your Initial Bid set to the default, which is "$0.01", or you can change the bid price to a higher amount to ensure maximum exposure; we have a tool called "Search Bid". This tool shows the actual bids on a keyword. It is available in the account manager main menu. Then you are done filling in the boxes on this page, press the button labeled "Continue" and submit your pay per click keywords. Do you think you need to bid on all of the plural forms of your products? Not with Welook.info! For example, if you are bidding on "beach hotel", you do not need to include both forms "beachhotel" and "beachhotels" in your bid terms. The plural form will automatically be included. If you enter a plural form that WeLook.info understands, it will automatically be converted into a singular form. This means if you add the term "greeting cards" it will be converted into "greeting card" in your account. If someone searches for either the singular or the plural forms, they will find your listing. We have a bulk submission option built into our account management system that lets you submit up to 400 keywords at one time using our standard web-browser form. Both of these features make it extremely fast and easy to upload terms.

Step 5: Fund Your Account
Welook.info works on a debit account system, meaning you must pre-pay your account in order to receive traffic. When your funds run out, we stop the advertising until you fund your account again. This works out well for many advertisers because they can set a spending limit - you will never receive a bill from WeLook.info. To fund your account, click "Add Funds". There are many payment options available, but the simplest and quickest is to pay using your credit card. The funding is immediate. Other options are to mail us a check or money order.The minimum payment is $10 for first-time customers and $25 for return customers. As soon as the payment is posted to your account, your advertising will be live and your site can begin to receive traffic.

 
Step 6: Adjust Your Bids
Now that your account is active, you should adjust your bids to make sure you are in the optimum position. The first thing to do is decide how much you are willing to pay. The more you are willing to pay, the higher you will be listed in a search and, typically, the more traffic you will receive. It is NOT always best to be number one, however; you should only bid as much as you're willing to spend to get a customer to your site. How should you decide how much to bid? Let's look at an example. Let's say that the hotelmanager (from Beach Hotel Sunset) receives 100 visitors to her site, and that of every 100 visitors, 5 visitors book the hotel. The manager also knows that on average when a customer books the hotel something, he makes $15 profit. That means:
5 paying customers x $15 profit per customer = $75 profit
$75 total profit / 100 visitors = 75 cents-per-visitor profit
Using simple math, we see that even though not every visitor buys something, on average a visitor is worth 75 cents profit for the Beach Hotel Sunset. That means that the manager can afford to pay up to 75 cents per click to "break even". If he pays any more than 75 cents per click, she will lose money; if he pays less than 75 cents per click, she will make money. The manager may decide that he wants to spend, at most, half of her profits on advertising. This means manager wants to be listed as high as possible while paying 25 cents per customer. There are two options for adjusting your bids: "BidMaster" and the "Change Bids" page. BidMaster is the easiest and quickest way to adjust your bids. If you click on "BidMaster", you can enter the maximum amount you are willing to spend and click "GO!" Our software will intelligently adjust all of your listings to the highest position possible without paying more than the amount you entered. We highly recommend you use BidMaster! If you wish to change your bids manually, you can use the "Change Bids" option. This will show you all of your keywords along with the top 5 bid amounts currently paid by other WeLook customers. You can manually adjust your bids so that you gain the position you want. When you are done make sure to submit your changes.

Step 7: Start Seeing Results!
That's it! Your account should now be live and you will begin receiving traffic. You should still plan to log in to review your account activity, adjust your bids and make sure your account is funded. A healthy account is a well-tended account. Adjustments in keyword lists, bid prices and advertising (title and description) copy can all have a large impact on your success. The amount of traffic you receive will depend on many variables:
Popularity of your keyword phrases
Relevance of your keywords to your product
What position you are listed in under each keyword phrase
How interesting your site description is to a searcher
Don't forget though that the most important part is the price you are paying per visitor, not how many visitors you receive. We suggest you start slowly and test out different site descriptions, keyword choices and bid amounts to see what works best for you.

Note: you can cancel your pay-per-click account at any time for any reason and we will promptly return any unused funds in your account (minus any bonus you may have received.)

WeLook.info will pay you 80% of the bidded amount plus earn 5% of your referrals earnings. You will be paid once you reach our minimum payout of $2.

Does it cost anything to become an affiliate?
No it's free to join and you can earn a residual income every month.

Can I become a We Look affiliate?
Yes, anyone is allowed to become an affiliate as long as your site does NOT contain anything deemed by We Look staff to be illegal or offensive. Your site MUST be written entirely in English.

Do you pay for affiliates from all countries?
Yes, we welcome affiliates from all countries.

Does it cost anything to become an affiliate?
No it is absolutely free to join and you can earn a residual income every month.

Am I allowed to have more then one account?
NO. You are allowed only one account. If you have more then one account, all your accounts will be terminated and you will lose all money earned.

Do you allow incentivized searches?
No, incentivized searches are strictly prohibited. Any affiliate who uses these practices will have his/her account terminated.

Could you please explain membership levels?
At the moment Welook has just one membershiplevel, in the future will this change.
The membershiplevel wil depend on the kind and amount of traffic you send to Welook.info.

My account has been deleted or is Pending/Suspended status - Why?
Possible reasons :
» Personal information was not complete or was false.
» You had bot traffic.
» Custom portal wasn't approved.
» Suspicious activity .

How can I become an XML Partner with Welook?
If you own a search engine, you can apply to use our XML feed and receive 80% of the bid. Please send an email to support@welook.info with your username, website URL, and traffic details and we will get back to you with our decision within less then 24 hrs.

What will happen if I'm caught spamming or cheating?
Any artificial means of generating traffic including, but not limited to, hit bots, multiple clicking scripts, open proxy server, targeting specific keywords, hidden links and incentivizing surfers in any way or any other similar activity will result in forfeiture of all monies owed and possible criminal prosecution. Spamming or any other such practice that could reflect negatively on our program are strictly prohibited. Failure to comply to this request will result in the immediate cancellation of the account from which the Clicks were generated and may also result in the forfeiture of any funds owed to that account.

Do you pay for searches from all countries?
In general we pay only for searches from United States, Canada, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom. Though different feeds have different countries that are accepeted, this list is generally correct. We ask members to when possible, target as much U.S. based traffic as possible.

Can I target certain keywords I know will make me more money?
No targeting certain keywords is strictly prohibited. Any member who uses these practices their account will be terminated and will result in forfeiture of all monies owed and possible criminal prosecution. We recomend you use a full page portal that is available in the affiliate area to increase your earnings.

I have $2.00 in my account, how do I contact you for payment?
Make sure you have filled out your Paypal, Moneybookers or E-Gold ID to recieve payment. Then hit the REQUEST PAYMENT button on the front page of your account login. If you cannot recieve payment by any of these methods we can work out another way to pay you, please contact us. We pay directly to your Paypal, E-Gold or MoneyBookers.

I have a question here that is not answered, what do i do?
